Berkenhoff started drawing EDM wires as far back as 1969 and began producing brass wires in 1976.

bedra megacut® wire is manufactured to a tensile strength of 500 N/mmand comes in .008" and .010" diameter on a variety of spool sizes. It features a CuZn36 brass core with a specially treated pure zinc coating. This wire has been designed for cutting to the highest precision and surface finish. Due to its lower tensile strength and high elongation it is very well suited for taper cuts. bedra megacut® is an excellent choice for cutting carbide and is the absolutely best choice for Vollmer EDM machines.
